Privacy

Nicknames only. No real names, unit numbers or photos of people. The only personal detail stored is your email address, encrypted, used only for sign-in codes and the emails you choose. Nobody can see it, not even moderators.

Private. Only residents with an invite card can join. Nothing is visible to search engines or the public.

No advertising, no tracking. No ads, no Google or Facebook trackers, no third-party cookies, no tracking in emails. To see whether the newsletter and the news reach people, Village Comms counts how many residents opened each issue and article in the app – once each. Only the numbers are shown, never who; after 90 days only the number is kept.

Stored in Australia. The server and backups are in Sydney. Logs hold no names or emails and are deleted after 30 days.
